At Massaponax we offer the opportunity to be
involved in missions to all age groups. No matter your age, it is
never too early or too late to learn about or dedicate yourself to
spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. Missions is involvement
in God’s plan for reaching everyone with the message of hope and love
through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It’s what we
do to follow Christ’s commission to go into all the world and extend
our witness beyond ourselves to bring all persons to Christ and to
glorify God.
Women's Missionary Union
Woman’s Missionary Union is built upon the
following core values:
We uphold the foundational principles of the priesthood of every
believer and the autonomy and uniqueness of each local church in
carrying out the Great Commission. We embrace the strategic role
of prayer and giving for missionaries and missions needs. We
recognize the role of family in discipleship and missions development.
We recognize the giftedness of women and girls and accept the
responsibility to help them use their gifts in serving Christ. We
accept the responsibility for nurturing preschoolers, children, youth,
and adults in missions. We accept the responsibility for
developing and equipping missions leaders. We accept the biblical
mandate to respond to human need with actions modeled by Jesus Christ
and with the message of God’s redemptive plan. We partner with
other Great Commission Christians to lead a lost world to Christ.
We believe that Jesus Christ, Son of God, gave His life a sacrifice for
the salvation of all the people of the world, fulfilling God’s plan
for the ages as revealed in the Bible, God’s Holy Word.
The WMU at Massaponax meets the first Wednesday of
the month at 7:00 pm at the church.

Royal Ambassadors (RAs)
The Royal Ambassadors is a mission organization
for boys in grades 1st through 12th. The purpose of Royal
Ambassadors is to involve boys in missions. "Involvement in
missions is living one's faith daily: personal experience in witness and
ministry, and giving and praying to support persons involved in
missions. The Royal Ambassador program helps boys to become aware of the
needs of people around the world and to respond to those needs. The
organization seeks to lead boys to a personal commitment to Christ and
assist them in their Christian growth experience. Through Royal
Ambassadors, boys are led to an awareness of their responsibility to
Christ and encouraged to become His ambassador." (-- Leading
Royal Ambassadors: The Classic Method )
The RA pledge states: "As
a Royal Ambassador I will do my best; to become a well-informed
responsible follower of Christ; to have a Christ-like concern for all
people; to learn how the message of Christ is carried around the world;
to work with others in sharing Christ, and to keep myself clean and
healthy in mind and body."
RAs meet on the first, second, and fourth
Wednesdays of each month at the church at 7 pm.
